The 2012 annual conference of the Task Force on Financial Integrity and Economic Development will take place at the Ramada Plaza Tunis in Gammarth, Tunisia, from October 17-18.

OECD - During his visit to Tunisia, the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Angel Gurria, met with the Tunisian Prime Minister, as well as government ministers and the President of the National Constituent Assembly, in order to discuss the co-operation between Tunisia and the OECD.

Vietnam and the World Bank recently held the first Viet Nam Anti-Corruption Intiative, or VACI.  The Initiative encouraged the public—whether ordinary citizens, NGOs, or private business—to develop proposals to help combat corruption in their communities.  VACI then selected 34 promising ideas, and awarded a total of approximately $450,000 to help fund the implementation of these plans in the coming year.  It is hoped that this initiative will be repeated in 2013.
